Privacy Policy

Effective

This policy explains what information XL Marketing Agency LLC d/b/a ResultsXL (which also operates the BoostXL brand; "we") collects through resultsxl.com, why, who else handles it, and the choices you have. It covers this website only, not the websites we build for clients.

What we collect, and when

  • When you run the free scanner: the website address you enter, the scan results (scores, page count, detected technology, issues found, load time) and your IP address. We save these to our database so we can follow up on scans and stop abuse. The full report is also kept in your own browser (sessionStorage) so the results page can display it; your browser discards it when you close the tab.
  • When you use the Get Started or Custom Quote form: the details you type in, such as your name, business name, email, phone number, website address, project type, message, and any quote you carried over from the scanner. Custom Quote requests are also saved to our database.
  • When you check out: your name, email address, the website being rebuilt, its page count, the project total, the payment plan you chose and the Stripe reference numbers for the payment. Card and bank details are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page; we never see or store them.
  • When you contact us directly by email or phone: whatever you choose to send us.
  • Automatically: our hosting provider records standard request logs (IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time). If analytics is switched on, Google Analytics also collects usage data (see Cookies and analytics below).

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own advertising.

  • To run the scan you asked for and show you the report and quote.
  • To reply to your form submission or quote request and to deliver the project you buy.
  • To take payment, send receipts, and keep the business records the law requires.
  • To understand which scans turn into enquiries, and to protect the scanner and forms from abuse.

Who else processes it

We use a small number of service providers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job:

  • Web3Forms delivers form submissions to our inbox by email.
  • Stripe processes payments, including 12-month payment plans and ACH bank payments, under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).
  • Vercel hosts the website and processes request logs.
  • Our database provider stores scan records, quote requests and orders.
  • SerpApi receives the domain you scan (not your name or contact details) so we can estimate how many of its pages search engines have indexed.
  • The BoostXL scan service, operated by us, receives the website address you scan.
  • Google Analytics, only if analytics is enabled on the site.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set any cookies of its own. It uses your browser’s sessionStorage only to hold your scan report between the scanner and the results page; that data never leaves your device from there and is cleared when you close the tab. Staff who sign in to the admin area have a sign-in token stored in localStorage on their own device.

If we switch on Google Analytics 4, it sets its own cookies (such as _ga) to count visits and measure how the site is used. You can block them with your browser settings or Google’s opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). Stripe sets its own cookies on its checkout pages, which are hosted on Stripe’s domain.

How long we keep it

We keep scan records, quote requests and enquiries for as long as they are useful for following up with you, and order and payment records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below); we will do so unless we have to keep it by law.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by contacting hello@resultsxl.com or (520) 539-2823. We will respond within a reasonable time. You can use the scanner without giving us any contact details at all.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, payment details are handled entirely by Stripe, and access to our database and admin area is restricted to us. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Arizona law (A.R.S. § 18-552).

Children

This website is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
